Upper Loughor is an electoral ward in the City and County of Swansea, Wales. The ward covers the eastern part of the town of Loughor in the parliamentary constituency of Gower. The electoral ward consists of some or all of the following areas: Penyrheol, Grovesend and Waun Gron, in the parliamentary constituency of Gower. It is bordered by the Loughor estuary to the north west; and the wards of Pontarddulais to the north; Llangyfelach to the east; and Upper Loughor, Kingsbridge, Gorseinon and Penllergaer to the south.

Grovesend is a village in the community of Grovesend and Waungron (Welsh: Pengelli a Waungron), City and County of Swansea in Wales. The community has a population of 1,181. Grovesend is a mainly residential community, with the major amenity being the welfare club. Locals must travel to nearby areas such as Gorseinon or Pontarddulais for shopping. Grovesend also has a primary school, with about 100 pupils in, and a nursing home.

Gowerton railway station
Gowerton railway station (originally Gower Road and later Gowerton North) serves the village of Gowerton, Wales. It is located at street level at the end of Station Road in Gowerton. Since it is unmanned, tickets need to be bought in advance or on the train. Gowerton is served approximately every two hours by Arriva Trains Wales services heading westbound towards Llanelli, (where they continue to either West Wales or to Shrewsbury via the Heart of Wales Line; and eastbound towards Swansea.
