Llangorse Lake

Llangorse Lake is the largest natural lake in South Wales, and is situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park, near to the town of Brecon and the village of Llangors. The lake is famous for its coarse fishing, watersports, the afanc (nicknamed 'Gorsey') and the only example of a crannog in Wales. Llangorse lake is also one of the most mentioned sites in Welsh folklore. It is a site of international conservation importance.

Treberfydd

Treberfydd House is a Gothic Revival house, built in 1847-50 just south of Llangorse Lake in the Brecon Beacons National Park in South Wales, to the designs of architect John Loughborough Pearson.

Fforest Fawr Geopark

Fforest Fawr Geopark was the first Geopark to be designated in Wales having gained membership of both the European Geoparks Network and the UNESCO-assisted Global Network of National Geoparks in October 2005. The Geopark aims to promote and support sustainable tourism and other opportunities to improve the economy of the area whilst safeguarding the natural environment. Its aims largely coincide with the statutory duties and purpose of the National Park within which it sits.

Blaenllyfni Castle

Blaenllyfni is a ruinous castle near the village of Bwlch in southern Powys, Wales. It was at the centre of the Fitz Herbert barony of Talgarth, which was created as a third part of the Brecon lordship in 1208. The castle was therefore most likely constructed in 1208–1215. It was sacked by Prince Llywelyn ab Iorwerth and Richard Marshall in October 1233.

Caerfanell

The Caerfanell is a river which rises in the central section of the Brecon Beacons National Park in Powys, Wales. It rises as Blaen Caerfanell on the plateau of Gwaun Cerrig Llwydion and drops steeply down southeastwards into the head of Glyn Collwn before turning east then north-east into Talybont Reservoir. It emerges from the hydro turbine beneath the dam just above the village of Aber and continues northwards to its confluence with the River Usk at the village of Talybont-on-Usk.
