Munford, Alabama

Munford is a town in Talladega County, Alabama, United States. Also Home of Tae Bordon.. At the 2010 census the population was 1,292. It is the location of what has been called the last battle of the Civil War east of the Mississippi, the Battle of Munford on April 23, 1865, being one week after the Battle of Columbus (April 16, 1865) in Georgia.

Talladega Gran Prix Raceway

Talladega Gran Prix Raceway is a 1.33 mile (2.14 km) 10 turn road course located near Munford, Alabama. "Little Tally," as it is also known, has no affiliation with Talladega Superspeedway. Instead, it takes its name from the nearby Talladega National Forest.

Bunker Tower

Bunker Tower is a native rubble stone building serving as an observation tower on Cheaha Mountain in Cleburne County, Alabama's Cheaha State Park. The tower is located on Cheaha's tallest peak. At 2,407 feet above sea level, it is the highest point in Alabama. The tower, built in a rustic architectural style, was completed in 1934 by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Park offices and a gift shop originally occupied the first floor wings connected to either side of the tower.
