Lawson McGhee Public Library

The Lawson McGhee Public Library is the main library for Knoxville, Tennessee. It is located at 500 West Church Avenue in downtown Knoxville. The Beck Cultural Exchange Center, the East Tennessee Historical Center and numerous library branches are also associated with the Lawson McGhee Public Library. The library was established in 1885 with a $50,000 donation from Knoxville businessman Charles McClung McGhee, and named for McGhee's daughter, May Lawson McGhee, who had died suddenly in 1883.

White's Fort (Tennessee)

White's Fort, also known as James White's Fort, was an 18th century settlement that became Knoxville, Tennessee, in the United States. The name also refers to the fort, itself. The settlement of White's Fort began in 1786 by James White, a militia officer during the American Revolutionary War.

Alumni Memorial Gym (Knoxville)

The Alumni Memorial Gym is an indoor athletic facility on the campus of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. It was built in 1934 during a construction campaign under school president James D. Hoskins, and was replaced by the Stokely Athletics Center in 1967. The facility hosted the Southeastern Conference men's basketball tournament in 1936 and 1937 and again in 1939 and 1940. It is now used as a performing arts center and seats 1,000 spectators.

Neyland Stadium

Neyland Stadium is a sports stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States. It serves primarily as the home of the Tennessee Volunteers football team, but is also used to host large conventions and has been a site for several NFL exhibition games. The stadium's official capacity is 102,455. Constructed in 1921, the stadium has undergone 16 expansion projects, at one point reaching a capacity of 104,079 before being slightly reduced by alterations in the following decade.
