It is located next to the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, and its 125,000 acres of national park land. Big South Fork Airpark, started by the Pegasus Group, opened to residents in July 2008. It occupies 400 acres, including land subdivided for houses and personal hangars, stables for horses, and equestrian riding trails.
