Scott Municipal Airport is a public-use airport located four nautical miles (7 km) southwest of the central business district of Oneida, a city in Scott County, Tennessee, United States. The airport is owned by Scott County. It located adjacent to the Big South Fork Airpark, a gated community and residential airpark. Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned SCX by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA.

Oneida, Tennessee

Oneida is a town in Scott County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 3,615 at the 2000 census. Oneida is known for its proximity to the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. The town is named for Oneida, New York, the home of several railroad executives who helped develop the town in the late 19th century.

Big South Fork Airpark

Big South Fork Airpark is a privately owned airpark (also known as a fly-in community) located in Oneida, a city in Scott County, Tennessee, United States. It is located next to the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, and its 125,000 acres of national park land. Big South Fork Airpark, started by the Pegasus Group, opened to residents in July 2008. It occupies 400 acres, including land subdivided for houses and personal hangars, stables for horses, and equestrian riding trails.

Scott County, Tennessee

Scott County is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It was created in 1849 from portions of Anderson, Campbell, Fentress and Morgan counties and named for General Winfield Scott. In 2000, the population was 21,127. Its county seat is Huntsville. Scott County is known for having seceded from the Confederacy during the Civil War and subsequently forming The Free and Independent State of Scott.
