Vestavia Hills Dogwood Festival

The Dogwood Festival is a month-long series of events held every spring in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, USA, heralds the seasonal arrival of blooms on dogwoods, azaleas, daffodils, and tulips. It includes pageants, parades, parties, garden tours, athletic events, fashion shows, and dances. A highlight is the presentation of the Vestavia Belles in antebellum dresses. These high school girls are selected to serve as city hostesses at various events.

Seibert Hall

Seibert Hall is a 4,240-seat multi-purpose arena in Homewood, Alabama. It was built in 1961. It was home to the Samford University Bulldogs basketball team. The basketball team moved into its new home, the Pete Hanna Center during the 2007-08 season. One of the distinctive features of Seibert Hall was the wall of windows behind the basketball goal on the South window, overlooking Seibert Stadium, the football facility at Samford.

Homewood is a city in southeastern Jefferson County, Alabama, United States. It is a suburb of Birmingham, located on the other side of Red Mountain due south of the city center. It has one of the highest population densities in Alabama. As of the 2010 census, the population of the city is 25,167.
