Westover is a city in Shelby County, Alabama, United States. It was officially incorporated on January 31, 2001 although it was established in 1901 and had a population of 961 when it was incoporporated in 2001. Westover is located along the busy U.S. Highway 280 corridor in the northeastern quadrant of Shelby County. It is approximately 12 miles south of Birmingham and is part of the Birmingham–Hoover Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Founded in 2000 on an initial 30 acres, it began with a production of 600 cases (7200 bottles), that sold in 6 stores. In 2009, the winery produced 15,000 cases, selling in 400 stores across Alabama and Mississippi, and expanded its acreage by 85 acres . It is run by Brammer family.

The 1984 PGA Championship was the 66th PGA Championship, held from August 16–19 at Shoal Creek Golf and Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama. Lee Trevino shot four rounds in the 60s to win his second PGA Championship and sixth major title, four strokes ahead of runners-up Gary Player and Lanny Wadkins.
