Albert P. Brewer High School

Albert P. Brewer Area Vocational and High School is part of the Morgan County School System. The school in the foot hills of the Appalachian Mountains near Florette, Alabama. The grounds are approximately 80 acres. Its mascot is the Patriot, and colors are red, white, and blue. Brewer is the largest high school in the Morgan County System. It is one of the largest 5A schools in the state. Brewer's biggest rivals in sports have traditionally been Hartselle, Arab and most recently Priceville.

Somerville, Alabama

Somerville is a town in Morgan County, Alabama. It is included in the Decatur Metropolitan Area, as well as the Huntsville-Decatur Combined Statistical Area. As of the 2000 census, the population of the town is 347. Somerville was the county seat of Morgan County from 1818 to 1891, when the seat was moved to Decatur. The town was named for Robert M. Summerville, an officer killed in 1814 during the Creek Indian War.
