Ugashik Bay Airport

Ugashik Bay Airport is a public use airport located 11 nautical miles south-southwest of the central business district of Pilot Point, near Ugashik Bay in the Lake and Peninsula Borough of the U.S. state of Alaska. It is owned by the Bureau of Land Management. Scheduled airline service to King Salmon Airport is provided by Peninsula Airways (PenAir).

Dog Salmon River

The Dog Salmon River is a tributary of the Ugashik River, having its confluence {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:57|28|51|N|157|29|02|W| | |name= }} with the Ugashik just 4 miles from the head of Ugashik Bay on the central Alaska Peninsula of southwest Alaska. It flows 67 miles from glacial headwaters in a valley of the Aleutian Range situated between Mount Chiginagak and Mount Kialagvik westward to a wide, tidal zone located in the far upper reaches of Ugashik Bay.

Ugashik River

The Ugashik River is a 42-mile-long (67 km) river on the Alaska Peninsula of the U.S. state of Alaska. It flows from headwaters near Lower Ugashik Lake and empties into Ugashik Bay, an estuary of the Bering Sea's Bristol Bay. The origin of the name Ugashik is somewhat obscure, although early spelling variants such as Oogashik and Ougashick suggest the name pertains to the source of the river: two waters (lakes) and it's muddy character.
