Crescent Lake (Arizona)

Crescent Lake is located approximately 2 miles north of Big Lake. The lake sits at just over 9,000 feet elevation on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, as such the facilities located here are managed by that authority. Access is restricted in the winter when roads are closed due to snow, generally December to early April.

Big Lake (Arizona)

Big Lake is considered one of the White Mountains' best fishing lakes, because of its size, productivity and visitor amenities. As with most trout waters in Arizona, catch rates are best in spring, during late April and May after the winter ice thaws, and gets better later in the summer and into fall until freezing over again in late November. Big Lake is located in Apache County and managed by the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest.

Black River (Arizona)

The Black River is a 114-mile-long river in the White Mountains of Arizona, USA, to the west of Alpine. Along with the White River, it forms the Salt River, a major tributary of the Gila River. It was named by James Ohio Pattie in 1826 as he explored the area. The Black River has multiple forks, including the east and north fork, that hold great trout fishing. There is also a stretch called the Lower Black River that holds some of the state's best smallmouth bass fishing.

Greer, Arizona

Greer is an unincorporated community in Apache County, Arizona, United States. It lies at an elevation of approximately 8,500 feet (2591 metres) in the White Mountains of Arizona, and is surrounded by the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. Greer was founded around 1879 by Mormon settlers from Utah. The Greer post office has the ZIP code of 85927; the ZCTA for ZIP Code 85927 had a population of 177 at the 2000 census.

River Reservoir

Built in 1896 on the Little Colorado River, River Reservoir is the largest and deepest of a trio of lakes collectively known as the Greer Lakes. Drained since 2004 because of safety issues, the dam at River Reservoir was repaired in 2005. Like the other two Greer Lakes, it has new amenities. River Reservoir is located at 8,220 feet on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests.
