Troon Village
Troon Village is a large-scale residential development in North Scottsdale, Arizona. At 2,400 feet elevation, temperatures are cooler in this enclave than throughout much of the rest of Phoenix, Arizona. Part of Troon Village is the Troon North Golf Club, which contains 1,400 acres of developed land and has been in operation since 1986.

The Golf Club Scottsdale
The Golf Club Scottsdale is a private golf club in Scottsdale, Arizona. Membership is limited to 350 members plus family. Located within the McDowell Mountain Range, the course itself is a par 72 on 290 acres . The Golf Club Scottsdale is unusual compared to the other courses in Maricopa County, in that it was not built as part of a housing development. The club is owned by Crown Golf Properties. In 2006 the company sold 200 acres of land adjacent to the courses.

East End is located in the northern region of the McDowell Mountains outside of Phoenix, Arizona. It is the highest peak in the range, at 4,057 ft . East End is mainly covered in rocky boulders, and is the site of the ancient Marcus Landslide.

McDowell Peak
McDowell Peak is located in the McDowell Mountains, to the northeast of Phoenix, Arizona. Its height is 4034 feet. McDowell Peak is located approximately half a mile north of the easily recognizable Thompson Peak, and shares a ridge with the newly named Drinkwater Peak. It is bordered on the south by Bell Pass, and on the north by Windgate Pass. There are no defined trails to the top, however there is a transmitter, and bushwhacking to the top is easy from Bell Pass.

Notre Dame Preparatory High School is a private Catholic high school located in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States. The site of the school was purchased by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix in March 2001. The school is expected by the Diocese to become the flagship Catholic high school in Arizona. The school opened in August 2002 with only a freshman and sophomore class. The first class of 72 students graduated on May 21, 2005.
