It has stood for many years as a quality institute of education, and even now, after its recent annexation into the Mountain View School District, it is still fully functional. While its past may not serve by highly noted historical events, it is renowned in its own community for being the home of musician Jimmy Driftwood, an old folk style guitarist.

Stone County, Arkansas
Stone County is a county located in the U.S. state of Arkansas. As of 2010, the population was 12,394. The county seat is Mountain View. The county was formed on April 21, 1873, and named for the natural stone formations in the area. It is a dry county, meaning that the sale of alcoholic beverages in any form is prohibited. Stone County is home to the famous Blanchard Springs Caverns, a three-level system of still-developing caves administered by the United States Forest Service.
