Stone County, Arkansas

Stone County is a county located in the U.S. state of Arkansas. As of 2010, the population was 12,394. The county seat is Mountain View. The county was formed on April 21, 1873, and named for the natural stone formations in the area. It is a dry county, meaning that the sale of alcoholic beverages in any form is prohibited. Stone County is home to the famous Blanchard Springs Caverns, a three-level system of still-developing caves administered by the United States Forest Service.

Timbo, Arkansas

Timbo is an unincorporated community in Stone County, Arkansas, United States. It is in the Ozark Mountains region of the northern part of the state and is near the town of Mountain View. Timbo is known particularly for its strong tradition of old-time music. Music legend Jimmy Driftwood lived there.
