Independence Power Plant
Independence Power Plant is a coal-fired power plant near Newark, Arkansas. The Plant has two units, rated at 850 MWe each, that were launched into service in 1983 and 1984. The plant is owned by Arkansas Power & Light (a subsidiary of Entergy). It has a 305-meter tall chimney built in 1983.
