Maynard, Arkansas
Maynard is a town in Randolph County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 426 at the 2010 census. Settled in the late 19th century, Maynard is home to the Maynard Pioneer Museum and Park. Behind the Maynard Community Center is a unique jail. Built in 1936, its door is made of wagon wheel rims. The last time it was used was in 1988, when it temporarily housed Mr. Richard Head who was arrested for public intoxication.

Randolph County is Arkansas's 32nd county, formed on October 29, 1835, and named for John Randolph, a U.S. senator from Virginia, who was influential in obtaining congressional approval of the Louisiana Purchase, of which Randolph County is a part. Randolph County is currently an alcohol prohibition or dry county.

The town was originally called Needmore, and was located one and one-half miles south of its present location.
