KNWA-TV

KNWA-TV is the NBC-affiliated television station for Northwest Arkansas and the Arkansas River Valley. It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 50 from a transmitter southeast of Garfield. Owned by the Nexstar Broadcasting Group, the station operates Fort Smith-based Fox affiliate KFTA-TV through a local marketing agreement. The two stations shared studios in the historic Campbell-Bell building on South Block Avenue in Downtown Fayetteville from 2000-2012.

Beaver Lake (Arkansas)

Beaver Lake is a man-made reservoir in the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas and is formed by a dam across the White River. Beaver Lake has some 487 miles of natural shoreline. With towering limestone bluffs, natural caves, and a wide variety of trees and flowering shrubs, it is a popular tourist destination.

Dinosaur World (Arkansas)

Dinosaur World, earlier known as John Agar's Land of Kong and " Farwell's Dinosaur Park", was a tourist attraction in Beaver, Arkansas. It was a theme park covering 65 acres, which contained a hundred life-size sculptures of dinosaurs, cavemen, and other prehistoric creatures. The park closed in 2005. It was the largest dinosaur park in the world. The park was started in 1967 when Ola Farwell hired Emmet Sullivan to build 6-10 life-size replicas of dinosaurs.
