Table Mountain (Kings County, California)

Table Mountain is a mountain located in the Diablo Range in California on the boundary between Kings and Monterey counties. It rises to an elevation of 3,473 ft and is the highest point in Kings County. A large 500 kV power line, connected to Path 15, runs to the north of the summit. A little snow falls on the mountain during the winter.

Rancho Cholame

Rancho Cholame was a 26,622-acre Mexican land grant in present day Monterey County and San Luis Obispo County, California given in 1844 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena to Mauricio Gonzales. The grant extened along the Cholame Valley, and encompassed present day Cholame.

James Dean

James Byron Dean (February 8, 1931 – September 30, 1955) was an American actor. He is a cultural icon of teenage disillusionment, as expressed in the title of his most celebrated film, Rebel Without a Cause (1955), in which he starred as troubled Los Angeles teenager Jim Stark. The other two roles that defined his stardom were as loner Cal Trask in East of Eden (1955), and as the surly ranch hand, Jett Rink, in Giant (1956).

Zwang Peak

Zwang Peak is a mountain in the Diablo Range, 8 miles southwest of Avenal, and about 12 miles from Interstate 5 in Kings County, California. Its summit is at an elevation of 3,081 feet. The peak was named for cattle rancher Jake Zwang (1880–1968), who came to the area in 1906 to start a cattle ranch southwest of Avenal. Cholame /ʃəˈlæm/ is an unincorporated community in San Luis Obispo County, California, USA. It sits within a mile of the San Andreas Rift Zone fault line at an elevation of 1,157 feet above sea level and is located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:35|43|26|N|120|17|44|W| | |name= }}. Cholame is reached via State Route 41, just southwest of the junction of Route 46.
