Rollins Dam

Rollins Dam (National ID # CA00255) is a dam on the border of Nevada and Placer Counties in northern California. The earthen dam was constructed in 1965 by the Nevada Irrigation District, with a height of 228 feet, and a length of 1840 feet at its crest. It impounds the Bear River, a tributary of the Feather River, for hydropower, flood control, irrigation water storage, and municipal water use. The dam is one of the ten facilities owned and operated by the Nevada Irrigation District.

KNCO is a Grass Valley, California, Class B radio station operating with 5,000 watts of power from a transmitter site in Grass Valley, California. KNCO is an ABC Radio Network affiliate. It was originally on 1250 kHz and moved to 830 kHz in the late 1980's. Syndicated programming includes The Rush Limbaugh Show, The Clark Howard Show, The Lars Larson Show and Coast to Coast AM with George Noory. Colfax High School is a four-year public high school in Colfax, California in the United States. It is in the Placer Union High School District in Placer County. The school currently serves about 700 students living between Auburn, Grass Valley, and Alta/Dutch Flat. Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad

The Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad (NCNGRR) was located in Northern California's Nevada County and Placer County, where it connected with the Central Pacific Railroad. The Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad Company incorporated on April 4, 1874, and was headquartered in Grass Valley, California. After two years of construction, passenger and commercial rail services began in 1876 and continued until 1943. The 22.53 mi line ran from Colfax, north through Grass Valley to Nevada City.
