Cedar Crest is an unincorporated community in Fresno County, California. It is located on the north side of Huntington Lake 3.5 miles northeast of Big Creek, at an elevation of 7077 feet (2157 m). A post office operated at Cedar Crest from 1923 to 1955, and from 1962 to the present.

Huntington Lake
Huntington Lake is a reservoir in Fresno County, California on Big Creek, located in the Sierra Nevada at an elevation of 2,120 meters (6955 ft). Several smaller streams also flow into the lake and it receives additional water from the underground tunnels of Southern California Edison's Big Creek hydroelectric project. Water from the lake flows into Big Creek, but some is diverted by underground tunnels to the Eastwood Powerhouse, which discharges into Shaver Lake.

Huntington Lake (formerly, Basin) is an unincorporated community in Fresno County, California. It is located on the west end of Huntington Lake 2 miles north of Big Creek, at an elevation of 7027 feet (2142 m). The Basin post office opened in 1913, the name was changed to Huntington Lake in 1916.

China Peak
China Peak is a ski area in Central California. It opened in 1958, named after the mountain, Chinese Peak. In 1981 the resort was purchased by the Snow Summit company and the name was changed to Sierra Summit before the 1982-1983 season. In the spring of 2010 it was sold and the original China Peak name was restored beginning in the 2010-2011 season. It is located on the south shore of Huntington Lake, about 65 miles northeast of Fresno.
