French Corral, California

French Corral is an unincorporated community in Nevada County, California, United States, 5 miles off State Route 49 via Pleasant Valley Road, and 9 miles northwest of Nevada City. It was one of the first of several historic California gold rush mining camps along the San Juan Ridge. The name was literal as the town grew around a mule corral built by the first settler in the area, a Frenchman, in 1849. It had a post office during the period of 1859 through 1945.

Condemned Bar is a former settlement in Yuba County, California. It lay at the confluence of Dobbins Creek and the Yuba River 3 miles south-southeast of Dobbins, at an elevation of 548 feet (167 m). South Yuba River State Park

South Yuba River State Park is located in Nevada County, California. The park consists of the 22-mile long South Yuba River Canyon running from near Edwards Crossing to Bridgeport and contains some 2,000 acres (8 km²) belonging to the California Department of Parks and Recreation and another 9,000 under federal jurisdiction. The area became prominent as a target of immigration in the California Gold Rush of 1849.

New Bullards Bar Dam

Located near the town of Dobbins in Yuba County, the dam forms the New Bullards Bar Reservoir, which can hold about 969,600 acre·ft of water.
