Ecker Ranch

Ecker Ranch is a 1,080-acre ranch in Madera County, California near Yosemite National Park. In 2009 it was listed as one of about 30 historic ranches in California that have been preserved under the auspices of the California Rangeland Trust. It was a homesteaded ranch that has stayed in the same family since the 19th century. It is still a working ranch, that also serves as a hunting lodge and offers camping experiences for youth groups. The ranch dates from 1870.

Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino

Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino is located just off of State Route 41 in Coarsegold, California, between Fresno and Yosemite National Park. It is owned and operated by the Picayune Rancheria of Chukchansi Indians. The 56,000-square-foot casino has 2,000 slot machines, and 43 table games. The resort has five restaurants and the hotel has about 404 rooms.

Madera County is a county of the U.S. state of California, located in the Central Valley and the Sierra Nevada north of Fresno County. It comprises the Madera-Chowchilla, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2010 census the population was 150,865. The county seat is Madera. The southeasternmost part of Yosemite National Park is located in the county's northeast.

Oakhurst, California

Oakhurst (formerly Fresno Flats) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Madera County, California, 14 miles south of the entrance to Yosemite National Park, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Oakhurst is located on the Fresno River 3 miles south-southwest of Yosemite Forks, at an elevation of 2274 feet (693 m). It is part of the Madera–Chowchilla Metropolitan Statistical Area. At the 2010 census, the population was 2,829, down from 2,868 people at the 2000 census.

Yosemite High School is a secondary school in the Yosemite Unified School District in Oakhurst, California. YHS occupies 100 acres of rolling, wooded hills and is located within the foothills of California's Sierra Nevada mountains. Yosemite High School is a California Distinguished School. The school opened in 1976. and current enrollment is approximately 1200 students.
