Redding is a station served by Amtrak's Coast Starlight in Redding in Northern California in the United States. The depot was built by the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1923. It has sheltered waiting areas on both platforms and a parking lot near the southbound platform. Of the 73 California stations served by Amtrak, Redding was the 56th busiest in FY2010, boarding or detraining an average of 30 passengers daily.

Redding is a city in Upstate California, located on Interstate 5 halfway between the Mexico and Canada borders, with the Sacramento River coursing through it. It is the county seat of Shasta County, California, USA.
