Parkfield (formerly, Russelsville) is an unincorporated community in Monterey County, California. It is located on Little Cholame Creek 21 miles east of Bradley, at an elevation of 1529 feet (466 m). As of 2007 road signs announce the population as 18. Parkfield is located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:35|53|59|N|120|25|58|W| | |name= }} in the Temblor Range between the San Joaquin Valley and the Central Coast, at an elevation of 1,529 feet above sea level.

Parkfield Interventional EQ Fieldwork
The Parkfield Interventional EQ Fieldwork also known as PIEQF can be seen as the seminal work of New Zealand born installation and performance artist D.V. Rogers. This early 21st century example of land art was installed temporarily in the remote township of Parkfield, Central California. A geologically interactive installation, this machine earthwork operated autonomously for a total of 91 days between 18 August and 16 November 2008.

Parkfield earthquake
Parkfield earthquake is a name given to various large earthquakes that occurred in the vicinity of the town of Parkfield, California, United States. The San Andreas fault runs through this town, and six successive magnitude 6 earthquakes occurred on the fault at unusually regular intervals, between 12 and 32 years apart (with an average of every 22 years), between 1857 and 1966. The most recent significant earthquake to occur here happened on September 28, 2004.

Black Mountain (Fresno County, California)
Black Mountain, is a ridge in the Diablo Range of southwestern Fresno County, California, south of Reef Ridge. Its east end begins about 1.25 miles west of Zwang Peak, and runs at elevations over 4000 feet, with the mid ridge rising to 4345 feet, westerly about 3.25 miles to Castle Mountain at an elevation of 4343 feet. It then turns west northwest 2 miles at elevations above 3790 feet with several peaks over 3800 feet and one over 3900 feet along the length of it.
