Concord (BART station)

Concord is a Bay Area Rapid Transit station that serves Concord, California. The station consists of an elevated island platform. The Concord station operated as a terminal station from the time when BART opened until 1995 when the line was extended to North Concord/Martinez. Pittsburg/Bay Point is now the terminal. Service at this station began on May 21, 1973. This station is in BART District 1 and is represented by Gail Murray who is also current BART President.

Concord is the largest city in Contra Costa County, California, USA. At the 2010 census, the city had a population of 122,067. Founded in 1869 as the community of Todos Santos by Salvio Pacheco, the name was changed to Concord within months. The city is a major regional suburban East Bay center within the San Francisco Bay Area, and is 31 miles east of San Francisco.

John F. Kennedy University

John F. Kennedy University is a nonprofit, private university located in Pleasant Hill, California, with satellite campuses in San Jose and Berkeley. Located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Oakland, the school was founded in 1965 as a Lasallian institution.
