Marina Green

The Marina Green in San Francisco, California, is a 74-acre expanse of grass between Fort Mason and the Presidio. It is adjacent to San Francisco Bay, and this location provides good views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, Alcatraz Island, and parts of Marin County. Houses built mostly in the 1920s and 1930s line Marina Boulevard, the southern boundary of the Marina Green.

Moscone Recreation Center

Moscone Recreation Center is a park located between Chestnut Street and Bay Street, Laguna Street and Webster Street in San Francisco's Marina District. Formerly known as Funston Park, the area was renamed in honor of San Francisco mayor George Moscone, who was assassinated in 1978. The park includes tennis courts, baseball diamonds, children's playgrounds, basketball courts, and putting greens. The park has been a favorite of San Franciscans since its inception in the 1920s.

Wave Organ

The Wave Organ is an acoustic sculpture constructed on the shore of San Francisco Bay by the Exploratorium. Through a series of pipes, the wave organ interacts with the waves of the bay and conveys their sound to listeners at several different stations. The effects produced vary depending on the level of the tide but include rumbles, gurgles, sloshes, hisses, and other more typical wave sounds.

Golden Gate Yacht Club

The Golden Gate Yacht Club (GGYC) is a yacht club founded in 1939 and is the current holder of the America's Cup won by its racing team BMW Oracle Racing. In 1939 the first members built a clubhouse on a barge in the San Francisco Marina. After the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake severely damaged the club, members pulled together and rebuilt it. GGYC is a popular cruise and regatta venue on the San Francisco waterfront. The Club is located on the jetty directly east of the St.
