Municipal Borough of Morecambe and Heysham

Morecambe and Heysham was a municipal borough in Lancashire, England, from 1928 to 1974. http://www. visionofbritain. org. uk/relationships. jsp?u_id=10074022&c_id=10001043 It was formed by the merging of Morecambe urban district and Heysham urban district. The area now forms part of the City of Lancaster district.

Frontierland, Morecambe

Frontierland Western Theme Park was a theme park at Morecambe, Lancashire, England, situated on Marine Road West, which operated from 1909 to 7 November 1999, with a final year consisting of only travelling rides in 2000. Frontierland originally operated as West End Amusement Park, Fun City and Morecambe Pleasure Park from 1909 to 1986 before being transformed into Frontierland for the 1987 season in an attempt to defeat dwindling visitor numbers.

Midland Hotel, Morecambe

The Midland Hotel is a Streamline Moderne building in Morecambe, in Lancashire, England. It was built by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS), in 1933, to the designs of architect Oliver Hill, with sculpture by Eric Gill. It is a Grade II* listed building. The hotel has been restored by Urban Splash with architects Union North, Northwest Regional Development Agency and Lancaster City Council.
