Slyne-with-Hest is a civil parish in the City of Lancaster in Lancashire, England. It had a population of 3,163 recorded in the 2001 census. The parish is north of Lancaster and consists of two villages; Slyne, on the A6 road, and Hest Bank on the coast.

The Lancaster Canal is a canal in the north of England, originally planned to run from Westhoughton in Lancashire to Kendal in south Cumbria. Hest Bank North Junction

Hest Bank North Junction is a railway junction in Lancashire, England, where the Morecambe Branch Line joins the former London and North Western Railway (LNWR) line (now the West Coast Main Line) in the down direction between Lancaster and Carnforth. It is also known as Morecambe North Junction. This line is currently being considered to become a community railway. Hest Bank railway station was situated here until its closure on 3 February 1969.
