Ventura County is a county in the southern part of the U.S. state of California. It is located on California's Pacific coast and is part of the Greater Los Angeles Area. As of December 2008, the median home price was $355,000. As of the 2010 census, the county had a population of 823,318. The county seat is the city of Ventura (formally known as San Buenaventura). The Ventura Amtrak Station is an Amtrak rail station in the city of Ventura, California. It is served by Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner from San Luis Obispo to San Diego.
