Russian River Valley AVA

The Russian River Valley AVA is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) in Sonoma County, California. Centered around the Russian River, the Russian River Valley AVA accounts for about one-sixth of the total planted vineyard acreage in Sonoma County. The appellation was granted AVA status in 1983 and enlarged in 2005. The area generally lies between Sebastopol and Santa Rosa in the south, and Forestville and Healdsburg in the north.

Northern Sonoma AVA

The Northern Sonoma AVA is an American Viticultural Area in Sonoma County, California, USA. The appellation covers most of the county with the notable exceptions of the Los Carneros AVA and Sonoma Valley AVA wine regions, which are located in the southern portion of the county. The creation of this AVA was largely based on the petitioning of the E & J Gallo Winery as part of their expansion of their Gallo of Sonoma brand.

Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport

Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport is a county-owned public-use airport located 6 nautical miles (11 km) northwest of downtown Santa Rosa, a city in Sonoma County, California, United States. It serves the county and surrounding areas of northern California's Wine Country. The airport is named after Charles M. Schulz, the famed cartoonist of the Peanuts comic strip, who lived and worked in Santa Rosa for more than 30 years.

The community of Mark West is named for Scottish American pioneer William Marcus West.
