KVCU AM-1190, popularly known as Radio 1190 is a college radio station affiliated with the University of Colorado at Boulder. Staff of the station are compensated with funds provided by the University of Colorado Student Union while operating funds are raised during biannual on-air pledge drives. Sommers–Bausch Observatory
Sommers-Bausch Observatory is an astronomical observatory located on and owned by University of Colorado at Boulder. It was built in 1949 and named after Elmer E. Sommers. It is operated by the university's Department of Astrophysical and Planetary Sciences (APS). Telescopes include 16, 18, and 24 inch Boller and Chivens Cassegrain reflectors and a 10 inch aperture heliostat (solar telescope).
