Old Stone Congregational Church

The Old Stone Congregational Church, also known as the First Congregational Church of Lyons, is a historic church in Lyons, Colorado, built in 1894-5 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. The First Congregational Church was organized under the sponsorship of the First Congregational Church of Longmont in 1889, less than a decade after E. S. Lyon arrived in the area from Connecticut and bought 160 acres of land that include the original townsite of Lyons.

Lyons, Colorado

Lyons is a Statutory Town in Boulder County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,585 at the 2000 census. Lyons is located at the confluence of the North St. Vrain Creek and the South St. Vrain Creek, twenty miles (32 km) east of Rocky Mountain National Park. Due to its location at the intersection of State Highway 7 and U.S. Highway 36 which lead to Rocky Mountain National Park, it is sometimes referred to as The Double Gateway to the Rockies.

Hygiene is an unincorporated community with a U.S. Post Office in Boulder County, Colorado, United States. Application for the first Hygiene Post Office was made by Rev. Jacob Stoner Flory of the United Church of the Brethren on May 28, 1883 ZIP Code 80533. This community's name stems from a time when it had a sanitarium to work with tuberculosis patients. The prestigious Hygienic House was developed by Jacob S. Flory.
