Trout Creek Pass

Trout Creek Pass (el. 9346 ft./2849 m. ) is a mountain pass located in the Rocky Mountains of south-central Colorado in the United States. The pass sits atop the southern end of the Mosquito Range on the Park-Chaffee county line, between South Park (the headwaters of the South Platte River to the east) and the headwaters of the Arkansas River to the west. It is traversed jointly by U.S. Highway 24 and U.S. Highway 285 (between Fairplay and Buena Vista).

Antero Reservoir

Antero Reservoir is a reservoir in the US state of Colorado. It was created by the first dam placed on the South Platte River in Park County, central Colorado. It is owned by Denver Water and supplies drinking water to the greater Denver metro region almost 140 miles away.

South Platte River

The South Platte River is one of the two principal tributaries of the Platte River and is itself a major river of the American Midwest and the American Southwest/Mountain West, located in the U.S. states of Colorado and Nebraska. Its drainage basin includes much of the eastern flank of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado; much of the populated region known as the Colorado Front Range and Eastern Plains; and a portion of southeastern Wyoming in the vicinity of the city of Cheyenne.

Hartsel is an unincorporated town and a U.S. Post Office located in Park County, Colorado, United States. Hartsel was founded in 1880. Located at the geographic center of the state, it is often referred to as "The Heart of Colorado". The community's namesake is Samuel Hartsel, a local cattle rancher. The Hartsel Post Office has the ZIP Code 80449. The ZCTA for 80449 had a population of 677 at the 2000 census.
