Cos Cob, Connecticut
Cos Cob is a neighborhood and census-designated place in the town of Greenwich, Connecticut. It is located at 41.033 north, 73.6 west, on the Connecticut shoreline in southern Fairfield County. It had a population of 6,770 at the 2010 census. Cos Cob is located on the western side of the mouth of the Mianus River. The American Impressionist Cos Cob Art Colony flourished in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Riverside (Metro-North station)
The Riverside Metro-North Railroad station serves the residents of the Riverside area of Greenwich, Connecticut via the New Haven Line. The station is 30.2 miles from Grand Central Terminal. The station has 324 parking spaces, 307 owned by the state. The pedestrian bridge over the tracks has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1977.

Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line runs from New Haven, Connecticut southwest to Mount Vernon, New York. There it joins the Metro-North Harlem Line, where trains continue south to Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. The line is owned by Metro-North from Mount Vernon to the New York-Connecticut border. From the state line to New Haven, the right-of-way is owned by the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CDOT).

Mianus River
The Mianus River is a 20.3-mile-long river in Westchester County, New York and Fairfield County, Connecticut, in the United States. It begins in the town of North Castle, New York in a series of ponds at about 600 feet altitude. Flowing northeast into the town of Bedford, it abruptly turns south and passes through the Mianus River Gorge, a nature preserve, before entering Stamford, Connecticut, where it is dammed into the Mianus Reservoir, officially known as the Samuel J.
