Stamford Town Center is an urban shopping mall in Downtown Stamford, Connecticut. The 853,000-square-foot mall is the eighth largest in Connecticut, with space for about 130 stores and restaurants. It includes a 250,000-square-foot Macy's and a 78,000-square-foot Saks Fifth Avenue as anchors. The 1991 picture, Scenes from a Mall, was partially filmed at this center.

Summer Institute for the Gifted

The Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG), founded in 1984 is a co-ed summer program specializing in gifted education for students ranging in age from 4 - 17. In 2009 SIG became a program of the National Society for the Gifted and Talented. SIG offers residential and commuter programs to students ages 10–17 and day programs to students ages 4–13.

Stamford Cone

The Stamford Cone is a 14 metre high structural artwork in the shape of a cone built as a landmark feature for the headquarters building of UBS AG in Stamford, Connecticut. The structure, which entirely consists of stained glass by British artist Brian Clarke, was designed by architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and engineered by Dewhurst MacFarlane & Partners. It was completed in 1999 at a cost of over $1 million.

Stamford Transportation Center

The Stamford Metro-North Railroad station, officially known as the Stamford Transportation Center serves commuters both leaving and entering Stamford, Connecticut via the New Haven Line. Some Amtrak Northeast Corridor trains also stop at Stamford. The station is 33 miles from Grand Central Terminal. Just northeast of the station is the split for the New Canaan Branch. A few Shore Line East trains terminate at Stamford during the morning rush hour, and originate there in the evening.
