Stamford Hospital

Stamford Hospital is a private, nonprofit, community and teaching hospital in Stamford, Connecticut, with 440 affiliated doctors. The hospital has 305 inpatient beds in medicine, surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, psychiatry, and medical and surgical critical care units. As of 2005, Stamford Hospital had a total of 2,254 employees. Tandet Center, a nursing home next door to the main building, was operated by the hospital before the nursing home recently was sold.

The Academy of Information Technology and Engineering (AITE) is a college preparatory, inter-district public magnet high school based in Stamford, Connecticut. AITE serves the communities of Stamford, Darien, Greenwich, Norwalk, New Canaan, Ridgefield, Wilton and Weston, all of which are located in Connecticut. AITE is engaged in educational reform. Stamford Town Center is an urban shopping mall in Downtown Stamford, Connecticut. The 853,000-square-foot mall is the eighth largest in Connecticut, with space for about 130 stores and restaurants.
