Hydeville, Connecticut
Hydeville is a rural village in the town of Stafford, Connecticut, located on Furnace Creek. Historically it was also known as Haydenville. The Lafayette blast furnace, established in Hydeville in 1799 to process bog iron, is reputed to have been the first iron furnace in the state to cast stoves. It operated until 1840, when the local ore supply had been used up. In the 1890s, Hydeville was described as "consisting of a few houses about a woolen mill" with a population of about 130.

Burley Hill is a 1,316 ft hill in Union, Connecticut. It is the highest point in Tolland County, Connecticut and the highest point in eastern Connecticut. It is one of Connecticut's highest named summits and it ranks 6th in the state for prominence at 669 feet. It is the most isolated peak in Connecticut and ranks 47th out of 50 for separation. The nearest summit above 1316' is 1387' Asnebumskit Hill in Massachusetts, 25.2 miles away.

Peaked Mountain
Peaked Mountain (pronounced pea-kid) is a nature reserve located in Monson, Massachusetts. The property is approximately 2,000 acres and is owned by The Trustees of Reservations, a non-profit conservation organization. The principal landowners of its western slope, Leonard and Roslyn Harrington and Richard Elliott, have long permitted the public to hike through their properties to the summit.
