Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium

Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium is a stadium in Norwich, Connecticut. It is primarily used for baseball, and, in 2010, became the home of the Connecticut Tigers of the New York - Penn League. It was the home field of the Connecticut Defenders minor league baseball team until 2009 when the Defenders announced their move to Richmond, Virginia to be the Richmond Flying Squirrels. It was built in 1995 and has a seating capacity of 6,270.

Yantic River

The Yantic River forms at the confluence of the Deep River, Sherman Brook, and Exeter Brook about 4 miles east of Colchester, Connecticut. It runs for 14.2 miles and flows into the Shetucket River in Norwich, forming the Thames River. Backus Hospital

Norwich Free Academy

The Norwich Free Academy (commonly called "NFA") founded in 1854 and in operation since 1856, is a high school located in the city of Norwich, Connecticut. The Academy serves as the primary high school for Norwich and the surrounding towns of Canterbury, Bozrah, Voluntown, Sprague, Lisbon, Franklin, Preston and several others. It was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in 2001.
