Madison (Shore Line East station)

Madison is a passenger rail station along the Shore Line East commuter rail line, which runs on the Northeast Corridor between New Haven and New London. Maidson station consists of a mid-sized parking lot and one high-level side platform on the southbound side of the tracks. A second platform and three-story parking garage are planned for the future. The garage will allow the station, which is less than half a mile from I-95 and US-1, to serve as a park-and-ride station.

Daniel Hand High School

Daniel Hand High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school in Madison, Connecticut, serving grades 9 - 12, with an enrollment of approximately 1,276 students. The football team, who play their games at the Surf Club's Strong Field, have won 11 state championships having last won the Class L CIAC Championship at Rentschler Field over Windsor in 2012. They are coached by Steve Filippone. Also, the girls soccer team has had some success in recent years.

Hammonasset Beach State Park

Hammonasset Beach State Park is a state park located in Madison, a town in New Haven County, Connecticut, United States. It is Connecticut's largest shoreline park, with over two miles of beach. Activities include bicycling, boating, fishing, hiking, picnicking and swimming. The park has over 550 campsites available. The Meigs Point Nature Center offers environmental education programs and activities for park visitors on a limited year round basis.

Griswold Airport

Griswold Airport was a public airport located three miles (5 km) east of the central business district of Madison, a town in New Haven County, Connecticut, United States. It was privately owned by Griswold Airport, Inc. The airport has been closed since the beginning of 2007. According to the Hartford Courant, the owner sold the property to make way for a proposed 127-unit development for people 55 and older.
