Shepaug Valley High School

Shepaug Valley High School is a four-year public, coeducational high school in rural Washington, Connecticut, although it draws residents from nearby Roxbury, Bridgewater, and Sherman as well. It neighbors prep school The Gunnery, and is the only public high school in Region 12. It was chosen as Connecticut's only blue-ribbon school in 1998, and one of only two in New England.

Shepaug River

The Shepaug River is a 26.0-mile-long river in Connecticut, in the United States. The river originates in Warren and runs south through Washington, Roxbury, and Southbury, where it joins the Housatonic River at Lake Lillinonah dammed by the hydroelectric Shepaug Dam, thereafter flowing into the Long Island Sound.

Lover's Leap Bridge

Lover's Leap Bridge is a wrought-iron lenticular truss bridge over the Housatonic River located in Lovers Leap State Park in New Milford, Connecticut. It was built in 1895 by the Berlin Iron Bridge Company. Prior to 1977, the bridge was used by both vehicles and pedestrians but is now closed to vehicular traffic after a newer crossing just north of the bridge was constructed. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

New Milford Hospital

New Milford Hospital, (founded 1921) is a not-for profit hospital in Litchfield County, Connecticut which serves western and northwestern Connecticut and parts of southeastern New York state.
