Pomperaug River

The Pomperaug River is a 13.4-mile-long river in the US state of Connecticut. The two main tributaries to the Pomperaug are the Nonnewaug River and the Weekeepeemee River. It is at the confluence of these two rivers in Woodbury that the Pomperaug forms. It flows through Woodbury and the town of Southbury, where it empties into the Housatonic River at Lake Zoar. The Pomperaug is the namesake for the nearby Pomperaug High School.

Waterbury-Oxford Airport, also known as just Oxford Airport, is a public airport located three miles (5 km) north of the central business district of Oxford, a town in New Haven County, Connecticut, United States. It is owned by the Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT). The airport opened in December 1969.

Quassy Amusement Park

Quassy Amusement Park, which was once called Lake Quassapaug Amusement Park, was founded as an amusement park in 1908 and sits on the south shore of Lake Quassapaug in Middlebury, Connecticut, United States. It has 22 rides on its 20 acres . Quassy consists of a full-fledged amusement park plus a new waterpark called Splash Away Bay. Swimming in Lake Quassapaug is also available. The park is home to the award-winning Wooden Warrior roller coaster, which opened in 2011.
