Cedar Swamp Wildlife Area is a State Wildlife Area located in New Castle County, Delaware, along shore of the Delaware Bay. It is 5,515 acres in size and is managed by Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), Division of Fish & Wildlife. Reedy Island Range Rear Lighthouse is a skeletal tower lighthouse in Delaware, United States, on the south end of Reedy Island on the Delaware River, near Port Penn, Delaware. The tower is an active aid to navigation. The tower stands near the site of an earlier lighthouse, known as the 'Old Reedy Island Light'. The Reedy Island Range Front Light is 2.8 miles north on a 22-foot skeletal tower.

Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve
The Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve consists of two unique components, one on Blackbird Creek and the other on the St. Jones River . Freshwater wetlands, ponds and forest lands dominate the Blackbird Creek component. The St. Jones component is dominated by salt marsh and open water habitats of the Delaware Bay. The reserve monitors long-term changes in weather and aquatic conditions in the estuary.

James T. Vaughn Correctional Center
The James T. Vaughn Correctional Center (JTVCC), formerly the Delaware Correctional Center (DCC), is a state prison for men in unincorporated New Castle County, Delaware, USA, near Smyrna. It is the Delaware Department of Corrections's largest correctional facility for adult males. JTVCC houses some 2,500 minimum, medium, and maximum security inmates. It is also the primary facility for housing the Kent County pre-trial (detainee) population.
