Eau Gallie High School is located at 1400 Commodore Blvd in the Eau Gallie area of Melbourne, Florida. It is one of four public high schools in Melbourne, along with Melbourne High School, Palm Bay High School, and West Shore Junior/Senior High School. Eau Gallie, Florida
Eau Gallie (pronounced "Oh Galley")was a city in Brevard County, Florida from 1857 until 1969 when citizens voted to merge with neighboring Melbourne, Florida. It is now a small district in the north part of the city, near the Eau Gallie Causeway. William Henry Gleason founded the city. From 1874 to 1878 it served as the county seat of Brevard County, Florida. In French, Eau Gallie means "rocky water," named for the coquina rocks along the shore of the Indian River Lagoon.

The Eau Gallie Causeway connects Eau Gallie, Florida (which merged with Melbourne in 1969), with SR A1A near Indian Harbour Beach, across the Indian River Lagoon. Located entirely within the Melbourne city limits, the causeway consists of a main bridge crossing over the Intracoastal Waterway and a relief bridge. The bridge is a key link in SR 518, Eau Gallie Boulevard, of which the causeway is a part.

Mathers Bridge
Mathers Bridge is located on the southern tip of Merritt Island, Florida at the end of State Road 3/County Route 3. The bridge was built in 1927 by John Mathers to connect Merritt Island to what is now Indian Harbour Beach. It is a 700 feet long (200 meters) low level swing span drawbridge. The bridge and the control house were rehabilitated in 2005.
