Delray Beach (Tri-Rail station)

Delray Beach Station is a train station in Delray Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida, which is served by Tri-Rail and Amtrak. It is located on South Congress Avenue (SR 807), south of West Atlantic Avenue (SR 806) and east of State Road 9. The station officially opened in 1991 after legal squabbles and poor access led Tri-Rail to abandon the historic former Seaboard Air Line Railway depot located a few blocks north.

Roji-en Japanese Gardens

The Roji-en: Garden of the Drops of Dew, The George D. and Harriet W. Cornell Japanese Gardens consists of six gardens representing different periods in the development of the Japanese garden. It occupies 16 acres (6.5 hectares) of the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Morikami Park in suburban Delray Beach, Florida, USA. The gardens are open to the public, but closed Mondays and major holidays. Access to the gardens is included in the admission fee to the museum.

Yamato Colony, Florida

The Yamato Colony was an attempt to create a community of Japanese farmers in what is now Boca Raton, Florida, early in the 20th century. With encouragement from Florida authorities, young Japanese men were recruited to farm in the colony. Because of various difficulties, the colony never grew very large, and gradually declined until it was finally dispersed during World War II.
