Mathers Bridge

Mathers Bridge is located on the southern tip of Merritt Island, Florida at the end of State Road 3/County Route 3. The bridge was built in 1927 by John Mathers to connect Merritt Island to what is now Indian Harbour Beach. It is a 700 feet long (200 meters) low level swing span drawbridge. The bridge and the control house were rehabilitated in 2005.

Tropic, Florida

Tropic is an unincorporated area in Brevard County, Florida, United States. It is the southernmost area on Merritt Island, and its identity was absorbed into the census-designated place of Merritt Island during the Space Age of the 1950s and '60s. This portion of Merritt Island is served by Brevard County Road 3 (South Tropical Trail) and the Mather's Bridge.

Satellite Beach, Florida

Satellite Beach is a coastal city situated in Brevard County, Florida, United States. It is located between the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Indian River to the west. The population was 10,109 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Palm Bay–Melbourne–Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area. With both ocean and river frontage, Satellite Beach is the largest beachside community in South Brevard County.

Merritt Island Dragon

The Merritt Island Dragon or Merrit Island River Dragon was a dragon-shaped green cement structure that stood at the southern tip of Merritt Island, known as Dragon Point, where the Indian River Lagoon splits to form the Banana River Lagoon. The dragon was built in 1971 by Florida artist Louis VanDercar and property owner Aynn Christal.

Eau Gallie Causeway

The Eau Gallie Causeway connects Eau Gallie, Florida (which merged with Melbourne in 1969), with SR A1A near Indian Harbour Beach, across the Indian River Lagoon. Located entirely within the Melbourne city limits, the causeway consists of a main bridge crossing over the Intracoastal Waterway and a relief bridge. The bridge is a key link in SR 518, Eau Gallie Boulevard, of which the causeway is a part.
