Decatur (MARTA station)
Decatur is an underground Train station on the Blue Line of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system in the heart of Decatur, Georgia. This station was opened on June 30, 1979. In 2005, a major renovation of the Church Street entrance to the station was begun that was completed in 2006. The redesign was intended to allow the station to fit in better with the stores and restaurants in the Decatur square. It has 2 tracks and side platforms that serve each track.

Agnes Scott College
Agnes Scott College (commonly known as Agnes Scott) is a private liberal arts college in downtown Decatur, Georgia. The college was founded in 1889 as Decatur Female Seminary by Presbyterian minister Frank H. Gaines. In 1890, the name was changed to Agnes Scott Institute to honor the mother of the college's primary benefactor, Col. George Washington Scott. The name was changed again to Agnes Scott College in 1906, and remains today a women's college. Agnes Scott currently enrolls 914 students.

Bradley Observatory
The Bradley Observatory is an astronomical observatory owned and operated by Agnes Scott College. It is located in Decatur, Georgia, 5 miles east of Atlanta, Georgia, (USA). The observatory's largest telescope, the Beck Telescope, is a vintage 30 inch (750 mm) Cassegrain reflector built in 1930. The telescope was owned and operated by an amateur astronomer, Mr. Gibson. He offered the telescope for sale, seeking to upgrade his own telescope. Agnes Scott purchased it in 1947 for about $15,000.

Avondale (MARTA station)
Avondale is an at-grade train station on the Blue Line of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system . It has 2 island platforms; one for each direction. The center 2 tracks are not normally used for through service. Because of these middle tracks, it is not uncommon for trains to be bound for Avondale, having passengers change trains at Avondale. This station opened on June 30, 1979; From 1979 to 1993, this was the terminus of the East Line.
