WXTX is the Fox-affiliated television station for the Chattahoochee Valley of West-Central Georgia and East-Central Alabama. Licensed to Columbus, Georgia, it broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 49 from a transmitter in the Vista Terrance section of South Columbus. The station can also be seen Mediacom and Knology channel 7 as well as Charter channel 8.

As of the 2010 census, the population was 189,885. Its county seat and only city is Columbus, with which it has been a consolidated city-county since the beginning of 1971. It is a part of the Columbus, Georgia-Alabama Metropolitan Area. The only other city was Bibb City, which disincorporated in December 2000.

WTVM/WRBL-TV & WVRK-FM Tower

WTVM/WRBL-TV & WVRK-FM Tower, also known as the WTVM TV Mast, is a 533 meter guyed mast used for television broadcasting by WTVM/WRBL and FM radio broadcasting by WVRK-FM. It is located near Cusseta, Georgia, USA at 32°19′26.0″N, 84°46′46″W. At the time of its completion in 1962, the WTVM/WRBL-TV & WVRK-FM Tower was the tallest structure in the world. However in 1963 WIMZ-FM-Tower in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA supplanted it for that title.
