The Sentinel (KSU)

The Sentinel is the official student newspaper of the Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. As of the Spring semester of 2007, the Sentinel has a weekly circulation of 5,000, distributed to over 30 locations on the Kennesaw State campus. The first issue of The Sentinel was published on October, 1966; the first editor was Robert McDearmid], shortly after the charter quarter of Kennesaw State. KSU Convocation Center

The KSU Convocation Center is the athletic department’s centerpiece on campus. The 4,600-seat arena opened in 2005 in Kennesaw, Georgia and is home to the Kennesaw State Owls' men's and women's basketball teams, the volleyball team as well as the athletic department’s administrative offices. It is also available for booking for external events, and has hosted concerts, conferences and trade shows, as well as sporting events.

Kennesaw is a city in Cobb County, Georgia, United States, located in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area. It had a population of 29,783 according to the 2010 census. Founded in 1887, Kennesaw has a past surrounded with railroad history. During the Civil War, Kennesaw was the staging ground for the Great Locomotive Chase on April 12, 1862. In 2007, the city was selected by Family Circle magazine as one of the nation's "10 best towns for families".
