WSVH

WSVH FM 91.1 is a 96,000-watt public radio station broadcasting from Savannah, Georgia, and transmitting from the WVAN-TV 9 (GPB TV) tower to the west in Pembroke, Georgia, north of Fort Stewart. It serves the upper Georgia coast and areas well inland, and adjacent areas of far southern South Carolina. The station's signal is simulcast by GPB-owned WWIO-FM 88.9 in Brunswick, Georgia. Together, the two stations serve the entire Georgia coastline.

WVAN-TV channel 9 is a non-commercial educational television station located in Savannah, Georgia, USA. Battle of Fort McAllister (1863)

The First Battle of Fort McAllister took place March 3, 1863, in Bryan County, Georgia, during the American Civil War. Rear Adm. Samuel F. Du Pont ordered three ironclads—USS Patapsco, Passaic, and Nahant— to test their guns and mechanical appliances and practice artillery firing by attacking the Confederate defenses at Fort McAllister, then a small three-gun earthwork battery.

Bryan County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. As of the 2010 census, the population was 30,233. The county seat is Pembroke. Bryan County is part of the Savannah Metropolitan Statistical Area. Bryan County is separated into two parts(Northern Bryan and Southern Bryan) due to the location of Fort Stewart in the middle of the county.
