Etowah High School is located in Woodstock, in the U.S. state of Georgia. Its mascot is the eagle, and its colors are blue and gold. In 2008, it was ranked among America's best high schools. Etowah was ranked first in Cherokee County SAT scores for 2006. It was one of the 304 schools in the nation that won the National Blue Ribbon School Award for 2010. Lake Allatoona
Lake Allatoona (rarely called Allatoona Lake, its government name) is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoir in Georgia, located in northwestern metro Atlanta. The lake is mostly in southwestern Cherokee County, but a significant part is in southeastern Bartow County, and a small part in Cobb County near Acworth. Cartersville is the nearest large town to the dam. Red Top Mountain State Park is located on its shores, on the peninsula between the Etowah and Allatoona arms of the lake.

The Sentinel (KSU)
The Sentinel is the official student newspaper of the Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. As of the Spring semester of 2007, the Sentinel has a weekly circulation of 5,000, distributed to over 30 locations on the Kennesaw State campus. The first issue of The Sentinel was published on October, 1966; the first editor was Robert McDearmid], shortly after the charter quarter of Kennesaw State. The paper and the paper has printed continuously since its founding.

KSU Convocation Center
The KSU Convocation Center is the athletic department’s centerpiece on campus. The 4,600-seat arena opened in 2005 in Kennesaw, Georgia and is home to the Kennesaw State Owls' men's and women's basketball teams, the volleyball team as well as the athletic department’s administrative offices. It is also available for booking for external events, and has hosted concerts, conferences and trade shows, as well as sporting events.
